Carte blanche

NS November 10th, 2010

Instead of blogging I have been:

  • Reading novels
  • Sleeping more
  • Ignoring the news
  • Doing more voluntary work
  • Listening to new music
  • Playing with my camera
  • Gawping at the gorgeous autumnal leaves
  • Drinking lots of Baileys coffees and red wine
  • Creating informative handouts for my doula clients
  • Networking and advertising my business to get more clients
  • Selling out to The Man by considering placing an ad here
  • Planning my trip to the States in 3 weeks (all by myself! no kids!!!)
  • Learning more about Marxism
  • Getting my mojo back
  • Plotting a redesign for this site soon
  • Rearranging furniture
  • Wondering why I don’t particularly feel like blogging
  • Not caring enough to find out

What have y’all been up to? Is it just me feeling this blogging inertia? I don’t know if it’s winter blahs, the time change or that (god forbid) I have just run out of stuff to say.

Please, control your laughter. It could happen, you know!

It isn’t “selling out to The Man” until you ACTUALLY put the ad up. Just considering it, well hell we all do that. By the way selling out can be great for putting food on the table. :-)

    I’ve been:

sewing and more sewing and giving away my homesewn goodness for good causes

    researching alternatives to mainstream dentistry

considering a tattooof my daughter’s artwork, but just too much to choose!

educating myself and getting back to my spiritual center through books

going out to eat too much as a way to deal with my car troubles (standing inch of water in our 30-yr old rapidly-deteriorating Mercedes)

doing NaMoBloPo. Day 10 and I’m still going strong!

Considering smoking pot for the first time in about fifteen years, but I’m kind of lazy getting around to it

    Watching awesomeness from the UK

poorer than normal but, what are you gonna do

If you really want to blog more I have ideas on how to do that. But honestly it sounds like you’re doing just fine.

Happens to me all the time. Blogging can actually be very time consuming. Sounds like you’ve been doing some nice stuff instead though. x

I’ve been considering selling out too. I found out that one small inoffensive John Lewis ad pays per month what I earn in 7 hours, so that puts a certain perspective on things. And I LIKE John Lewis – always have done.

What did you conclude? Which ads were you going with?

Sounds like you’ve been living – something to which blogging must sometimes take a back seat. Glad to hear it’s good!
