Four: Colours

NS March 10th, 2010

Tara at Sticky Fingers asked us to come up with a photo with ‘numbers’ as the theme for this week’s submissions to The Gallery. I chose this one, taken a couple of years ago at a playground near my inlaws’ house, because I love the way the four primary colours complement each other and the juxtaposition of curves and lines on the roundabout.

Head over to The Gallery and see all the other ‘number’ photos!

  1. I’d settle for a not broken roundabout.

Brightly coloured and pleasing to the eye…my cup would runnith over.

  2. I’d settle for any roundabout – too much snow here at the moment for anything like that.

I like this picture very much, visually delightful.

  3. This one is a cracker – love the way it’s composed!

  4. Very smart roundabout! I can just imagine you ‘no no, don’t get on the playground yet, I need to take a photo . . .’
    Thanks for joining in x

@Tara@Sticky Fingers, Ha! No, even I am not that cruel. I think I took it while dear daughter was playing elsewhere.

I love this photo! So fun. I love the shadows and the angle!

  11. I love the way you set up the framing of the shot and the strength of the colors. It reminds me of LegoLand, in a nostalgic sort of way. Ha ha! :)

I love this – it looks very retro (reminds me of the 80s toy ‘Simon’ if you are old enough to remember that!)
