Her name was Lola, she was a showgirl

You may remember that I recently posted about trying to find a cat to adopt. We haven’t had a pet for three years now and have been itching to welcome a furry friend into our lives. It wasn’t easy but we finally found a kitten that needs a home last week and decided on Monday that we would adopt her. She is currently 11 weeks old and is black with white markings on her face and paws. We will pick her up next Saturday, one week from today. We’ve decided to name her Lola. Let’s just hope she doesn’t have yellow feathers in her hair and a dress cut down to there.
I went to the pet store today and bought the carrier, litter tray, food and water bowls, a small bag of food and some toys. I’ll pick up a bag of litter and a collar later this week and then we should be all set! I asked the man at the pet shop for a veterinarian recommendation and he said the two vet practices in town were not very good. He recommended one in the next town over, which is a bus ride away. I’m a little hesitant about having to get a bus to take my kitty to the vet’s office but obviously want her to have the best care. Hopefully we’ll have a car sometime next year anyway so it would probably only be a couple of visits to worry about anyway.
When we bring her home I will definitely get some pictures up so you can ooh and aah over her supreme cuteness.
