Badmouthing British Gas

I won’t bore you with the details but I have a beef with British Gas and they have been screwing me over for the past few months. After numerous phone calls in December, I thought the matter was finally over. They repaid the money they owed me and as far as I was concerned, it was finished. But oh no! Now they have sent me a letter out of the blue, threatening legal action if I don’t pay them. The nerve!

When I phoned their customer service line to kindly point out their obvious error in sending me this letter, I was very rudely informed by some cow with an attitude pricklier than a cactus that the money my bank had paid into my account on their behalf was more than I had paid British Gas and now they were claiming it back from ME. When I pointed out that this error was not mine and was between them and the bank and asked that at the very least they send me an itemised bill showing how much I supposedly owe and requested that they put a stop on the legal action they were supposedly threatening, the Customer Service Cow said “We don’t have to do anything of the sort, Mrs ____. British Gas are not legally obliged to make special exceptions for these matters, we require payment immediately.” When I again pointed out that the whole mess had been a cock-up on their end in the first place and that it should’ve been over MONTHS ago, I got the same moody response.

I was speechless with rage and said the first thing that came into my head. That happened to be “Fuck you, British Gas.”

Something tells me that the call, which was most likely recorded for (BG’s extremely laughable) ‘quality control’, may have earned my account a stern note with the words “Customer told us to fuck ourselves” in bold, red letters. I’ll be expecting the ‘legal action’ in the post any day now, I assume.
