Monkey Monday

NS March 5th, 2007

In the time since I last posted, the following has occurred:

  • We went out to dinner with a few friends on Friday night at a place where a ‘Tornado of Bison’ was featured on the menu. I had the duck because I wasn’t in the mood for food that had been through a natural disaster
  • On the same night, Sis got chatted up by an Aussie guy who looks like Mark Feuerstein
  • Amelia has decided that she needs to cling to me at every given moment and if anyone else tries to hold her she claws at my neck and grabs my sleeve. It’s sweet in a way, but also tiresome. I ate all of my meals yesterday with one hand, reminiscent of months 0-5
  • It was Roast a British Chicken Weekend this past Saturday and Sunday. I kid you not. So what did I spend yesterday afternoon doing? Roasting a chicken (along with butternut squash, red onions with mixed peppers, sausages, mash and gravy). It was delicious, if I do say so myself. Who knew that there were entire weekends dedicated to roasting chickens? I will be exploring other random British holidays and reporting back, don’t you worry
  • I may be writing on a regular basis for Londonist if all goes well. I’ve been chatting to the editor through email and I’m hoping to be a new contributor very soon. Watch this space

Sorry that this isn’t a more exciting post, but with my sister camped out in my living room, a daughter who thinks my hip is her new permanent home and house hunting in full swing, it’s a little crazy around here. I promise to be back with more insightful witticisms soon.

Until then, I leave you with this question: Is my monkey hot, or not?

That link is funkin’ hilarious, wellunderstood. I adore the baby toupee and Alien Overlord Doom Pod. And I know just who to get the Redneck Pacifier for.

Thanks Jen, but nothing is set in stone so I’m not getting too hopped up about it yet. Will keep you informed if anything comes of it.
